1. Who We Are

Sagona ("we", "our", "us") is a premium Indian kidswear brand operated by Sagona Retail Pvt. Ltd., India. This policy explains how we collect and use your personal data when you shop on sagona.in or use the Sagona mobile app.

2. Data We Collect

• Account data: name, email address, password (hashed), birthday (optional)
• Order data: shipping address, phone number, order history, invoice records
• Payment data: we do not store card numbers. Payments are processed by Razorpay (PCI-DSS compliant). We receive only a transaction reference ID.
• Device data (app only): Expo push token for order status notifications
• Usage data: pages visited, products viewed, cart activity (via Google Analytics 4)

3. How We Use Your Data

• Processing and fulfilling your orders
• Sending order confirmation, shipping updates, and invoices by email
• Sending push notifications on order status changes (with your permission)
• Personalising product recommendations and loyalty rewards
• Improving the website and app via aggregated analytics
• Marketing communications (only with your explicit consent)

4. Third Parties We Share Data With

• Razorpay — payment processing
• Cloudinary — image and invoice PDF storage
• Google Analytics 4 — anonymised usage analytics
• Anthropic — our SAGi chatbot uses Anthropic's Claude API; chat messages are processed by Anthropic to generate responses
• Expo / FCM / APNs — push notification delivery
• Sentry — error monitoring (no personal data is intentionally sent)

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

5. Data Retention

• Order records and invoices: 7 years (required by GST law)
• Account data: until you delete your account
• Chat sessions: automatically deleted after 7 days
• Analytics data: per Google Analytics retention settings (default 14 months)

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, email us at privacy@sagona.in with subject "Data Request". We will respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for session management and analytics cookies via Google Analytics 4. You can disable analytics cookies through your browser settings. The Sagona mobile app does not use cookies.

8. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. We use MongoDB Atlas with encrypted storage and rotate credentials regularly.
